Crab Dip!

Here is an easy, yummy summer recipe for you all to try!  I got this recipe from Stacy, the better half of our Vegas PIC's (partners in crime)!

Here is what you need:

1 package of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 can of crab meat
A little bit of milk, I put maybe two tablespoons in mine
and salt and pepper to taste!

Stir it up and let sit in fridge for a little to chill.

Serve with Ruffles potato chips and enjoy!  SO good and SO easy!

Bon Appetit!

Paint it White!

YAY! A house related blog post instead of a bunch of pictures!
We spent today painting upstairs and besides a touch up here and there, we can check painting off of the list!  I decided to go with white.
Yes, white.  I've been digging the white rooms lately on Pinterest and it's such and easy neutral color, I can add interest with the furniture and accessories.
I purchased a 5-gallon bucket of Glidden's Pillar White in a satin finish.  Since it is Memorial Day weekend, there was a $20 rebate so that's pretty nifty!
Here it is!
Before the walls were all patched gross looking!

It didn't really take us long to do the upstairs, just a few hours.  We've been putting it off so I'm really happy it didn't take very long. =]
Now the master bedroom, bath and hallway are all painted a nice crisp white!

We also did the ceiling in the blue room and have left over to do any needed touch ups and paint the new moulding we will get a little later.

Our goal is to tile the bathroom tomorrow! Wish us luck!!

End of an era...

Last weekend we said goodbye to our Spokane home.  Justin grew up there and I fell in love there.

Every person who has visited there was welcomed and has left with fond memories.  Many thought of it as an oasis or a wonderful place to just get away.

The main reason people felt like this wasn't because of the home but because of the warm, wonderful people who lived there...

We all knew we had to do a proper send off.  So we packed up our bags and drove over the mountains to help move, bring home some of our own stuff and celebrate the life and memories that were created there!

I rode over with kev-dood and neener and got to share the back seat with my little fur niece, Albus! She is so cute and LOVES licking the closed window!

We arrived late Friday night and Saturday commenced with beer and a 'Get er Done' attitude.

There was a lot of stuff to move and thank goodness God created men because I don't have the patience or muscle to move all that they did.

They were moving cabinets, beds, TVs and everything else! The ladies were inside gingerly packing dishes and decor and needed breaks about every 10 minutes (and a wine refill).   The boys definitely rocked it. Bravo men... Bravo.

This little bean served as a great distraction to the physical/emotional toll that was pulling on us.
She is so good and had so much fun in the pool!
She is so snuggly when she sleeps! I LOVE IT!

Her favorite toy was Albus, she would just sit in he play pen and laugh at her!

Our boys were having a blast too! They kept cooling off in the pond and were very helpful in the moving process I'm sure...

One night we couldn't find Abu!  After searching for a little bit we found him passed out right next to his grandpa!  I think he knew Roger was a sad and thought it would be helpful to be by him.

There are tons of memories I will take from this home but some of the best are...

The 4th of July celebrations...

and two of the best weddings EVER! =]

We love you Coco and will miss you! Who knows, maybe we'll meet again?!

Picture Window

As you all know, we are on our way to moving upstairs and just before our texturing adventure, we replaced the two smaller windows in the mater bedroom with one larger picture window.

My father-in-law was in town so he and Justin got 'er done!
They had to set up scaffolding on the exterior of the home and rip off the trim pieces to pull the window out.
Once that was done, they measured for the new, larger window and started cutting.

The new window was put in we ended up with this!

It brings in so much more light!

Las Vegas 2012

Two weekends ago we snuck off to Vegas! The weather was amazing, the company was great and it was so nice to escape reality for a bit.

We flew in last Friday night and stayed until Monday early evening.

Our hotel reservations got messed up so we were upgraded to a sweet suite!!

The bed was huge and so comfy...

and I had serious bathroom envy. We were spoiled with two sinks, a separate tub and show completed with a phone and tv.....

While we waited for our friends to get there, we had a snack at the House of Blues which was so conveniently located in our hotel!

We stayed at the Mandaly Bay which was amazing! Everything was so clean, the pool is to die for and the people that work there are so nice!

Here is the view from our room... It's a bad pic but it's a direct view of the strip!

The boys at the pool...

The girls in front of of NY, NY. We spent all day at the pool and walked the strip at night.

We had drinks at Diablo's in the Monte Carlo,

found some really big balls,

and I fell head over heels in love with this couch at Anthroplogie.  It was the best thing in the store!!

I love the city at night...

The Bellagio was having some sort of flower festival.  It was so pretty!

Then of course we enjoyed the Bellagio fountains!

But my favorite thing to do was this...  doing nothing, just laying by the pool!

We had dinner at the Hard Rock our last night and Justin was stoked because they had the Sam's Town sign from the Killers music video!  We are big fans and they didn't have it last year so it was cool to see it!

We did a little gambling and I won $60 at the Roulette table!

Great trip! Excited for the next one!!
