Three Trips, Three States, Three Posts - Post Three

Our third and final trip in the three week, three trip saga was a weekend with friends and their kids and a family cabin on Vashon Island.   The weather was perfect, the food was delish and the company was so much fun!  Here is a shot of our home for the weekend. :]

We took the ferry over on Friday night and took a take home pizza from Saucy Sisters and it was SO good!  If you ever want pizza on Vashon, go there!  We all turned in semi early that night, everyone was tired from the work week so after a glass of wine and some laughs, we hit the hay.

I love the room we get when we stay there because of these guys. :]

The next morning we were up and at em and BBQing by 10 am.  We took walks on the beach but mostly just sat around talking and eating! We brought over a bunch of pig out in the park sausage from Spokane that we grilled up and snacked on throughout the day.

We spent all of Saturday and Sunday out on the water.  It was so relaxing!  We played music all day, had a constant flow of snacks and food, spent the day SUPing and had fun conversation!  It was a great weekend!

The dogs had a blast too...

We ended our nights with smores and a campfire...

and the mornings looked a little like this! :]

So that sums up our summer travels! Nothing fancy but lots of fun!

We're Back and Our Life Lately...

We are back in action! Hopefully for good now!

So since we've last checked in a lot has changed in our life!  Cru is the best thing that has ever happened to us.  He is almost 5 months old and is rolling around, smiling, laughing and eating rice cereal!  He is the light of our lives and we are so in love!

Our furbabies are the best big brothers and our loving the hot summer the Northwest has this summer!

We have been enjoying our summer with our precious babe and he's already been on his first vacation and his first camping trip!  We're working on the house (much more slowly since our new addition came) and I have some newly decorated rooms to share with you!

I am happy to be back on the blog and can't wait to show you what we've been up to!

Until the next time, Cheers!

Maternity Shoot

I apologize for completely inundating the blog with baby stuff but we're getting down to the nitty gritty and there are lots of things I want to share!

On Christmas Eve, my cousin Aimee at Aimee Westcott Photography came over and we did a casual maternity shoot at a few locations in our town.  I LOVE the way they turned out and am so thankful she was willing to do this for us!  I already know I want to put a couple in Cru's room and I want to print a larger version of the bottom photo for our living room photo wall!

Here are some of them...

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all had a fantastic holiday, I know we sure did!

I started the long weekend off with a little craft that I wanted to share. I found this site on Pinterest that gives you access to print every letter, number etc and cut them into a cute bunting shape.

So I printed off G I V E  T H A N K S and glued them onto the backs of some paper bags I had lying around.  I punched two holes at the top of each and ran some fallish ribbon I had through and strung it up on the fire place. It's cheap (free) and cute!  I plan on making one for Christmas too!

Wednesday evening my in-law came into town and we celebrated a Thanksgiving brunch with them on Thursday morning.  Then Hubs and I went off to my dads home to spend it with a bunch of out of town family!

Here is my aunt Cindi, Sister-in-law Erica, me and my Bonus mom Donna!

Friday I hosted my 2nd annual Bridge Lighting Party.  I made my very first batch of chili and family came over to eat, visit and enjoy a small town celebration to the start of a new season!

The rest of the weekend was spent getting my sewing machine running, putting up Christmas decor and relaxing with my two favorite furry boys!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I'm slowly working on getting all the decor up and we plan on getting our tree this weekend...
