July Activities

July has been a busy month here at the Dobsons. 

And that explains why I have been sooooo terrible at keeping up with the ol' blog :[

Sorrrryyyyy!

We started out the month in Colbert, WA (Spokane) with my in-laws at their relaxing retreat of a home.  We spent the weekend with great friends and family, had fun in the sun and ate and drank to our little hearts content.

We had five partying pups too! Abu, Ace, Buddy, Blue and Lola in the back.

Most of the weekend was spent soaking up the sun pooslide...



and hangin out in convertables...

It was pretty sweet :]

Two weekends after that, we spent a family vaca at Lake Cushman.  My aunt and uncle have property there so we packed all our gear and spent a long weekend in the rain...

We found about 4 hours of sun and went to the lake to cool off :]

The week after that, My mom, sister and adopted sister (:] ) went to the Katy Perry Concert! It was so entertaining and we had a BLAST!

Then this past weekend I co-hosted a Bridal Shower / Bachelorette Bash for my sister in law!

It went great and the Bride to be got lots of good loot!

Then we went out with our Lovely Ladies! We started the evening at an Irish bar and ended dancing the night away!

I love my seeester! <3

THEN... I finally got me meet my Best Friends baby girl Stella! She is so sweet and perfect and this auntie loves her soooooooo much!!!!

Whew!  See what I mean, B.U.S.Y. 

Switching Gears

Remember a while back when I told you were going to start redoing our backyard? 

Well, now were not... yet.

We received a bid to level the back and dig for sprinkler systems in both the back AND front yards and were very excited that it came in less than we thought it would be :]

The reason for the hold off was the advice from the landscaper that we should wait until September.  He seems to think the sod/seed (whatever we decide to use) will better thrive.

Soooooooo....  Were goin up (stairs) and working there!

Our first step will be some work on the bathroom.



You see, we have been really bad and lazy lately.  We have framing to finish in here and green board to put up and have the supplies for this but just haven't done it yet.....BAD.  I posted our bathroom plan quite a while back, see that here.

We need to get some more insulation, throw the green board up and then the plan is to get some hardy backer down and start tiling this baby!

I can't wait for vintage looking tile to go down. It's going to look Grrrrrrrrrreat with our claw foot tub.

SEE!

After that will come two new pedestal sinks, new toity, hardware for the claw, lighting, mirrors and of course decor!

I am sooper dooper excited to get going again, its been wayyyyyy tooo long!

Pinterest

Pinterest is a new website that I absolutely love! It's basically a huge inspiration board bursting at the seams with lots of neat ideas!

The main website consists of photos of all things inspiring to millions of people around the world.  You can choose categories that interest you such as home decor, travel, foods, art and those selections will pop up on your home page.  The page refreshes often bringing more of other peoples inspiration!

You can then create interests to pin on your own page (get it, PINterest) :]  They are divided in sections and you can choose what interests you would like to pin to your page!  I love it when people re-pin my interests. :]
I just started my Pinterest so I don't have much on there yet, but believe me, I am working on it. :]

This site is seeping with inspiration!

Summer 2011.

Sorry for the lack of home progress...  We have been busy with summer activities and have neglected our poor little old home.  We have a BUSY July and August ahead of us but I will do my best to keep you updated on every little thing we end up doing.

This week is especially full! We just got back from a weekend camping trip (more on that later) and am now prepping for a Bridal Shower/Bachelorette weekend and Katy Perry concert on Wednesday.  There will be no downtime this week but it will all be worth it!

I have lots to update you on and more remodel will begin soooooooon!

Also, hope you like the new look of the blog, I'm still tweaking it a little but am enjoying the change.
